land loss

by indigosparke

I am cracked open again and brought to my knees

You have held your magnifying glass over my naked body

You have undressed who I thought I was once again

Ever seeking
and I thought this was the place

but my hopes are shattered
and the wind calls me to move again

Open and tender
waves roll through me

Washing me
and filling me
messy blue
and the salt comes from my eyes

overwhelmed by the paralysing pointlessness
and questions cascade from my mouth like your waterfall

Why is it so hard
what is the point in it all
these people are not who they say
and I am trying to find my way back to truth
and graceful care
like we had before we came here

I wait for a heavy rain to wash it all away
