Dub Side

by indigosparke

The dark side of the moon

and

Whispered incantations floating on the north wind that drew us to our meeting
Swimming in chai
And drawing blood in celebration

Etched

A moon so full cannot be so full all of the month
and cannot stay in the sky for us in daylight too
Waxing
Waning
Howling gibbous
Quiet and subdued
Red
New
Sinking
Luminous

The moons have spun and its that day again but today we feel quite far away
Not the same moon
Not speaking the same gypsy tongue
Sticky drips of desperation fall from both our hearts and brains
And we look the other way
They fall
Un captured and unread

To be ripped mercilessly from what we think the world is
Everyday
Shatters the delicately painted vase we make of ourselves
And to mosaic the pieces back together takes a strength

I see that strength in you
And I see the strength of me mirrored in your forever eyes

Today I pray for peace
And the graceful words to merge our worlds again.
